Fishing Overview: Bluefin Tuna

The approach to catching Tuna varies depending on the time of year and size class of fish.

1. Generally, expect to use one or more of the following techniques on these trips: Jigging; Trolling; "Chunking" drifting cut fish baits; Live-lining live fish (e.g., menhaden/bunker)

2. Typical tackle used: 40-60lb class rods, reels with minimally 25lb drag spooled with 65lb braided or 80-100lb monofilament line
